Board Certified Dermatologist Dr. Rachel Brown Parry has been serving patients of the Houston community for over 15 years. Looking for an environment that allows her to get to know her patients on an individual level and provides the highest level of dermatological care, she joined the team at Clear Dermatology in 2022. With a focus on general dermatology, Dr. Parry enjoys treating adults of all ages, as well as children ages 12 and over.

Dr. Parry is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She was awarded the prestigious Robert W. Woodruff Scholarship – a full merit scholarship – to attend Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. At Emory, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology while completing another major in Theatre and Film Studies. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Following medical school, Dr. Parry completed her Internal Medicine Internship at The University of North Carolina Hospitals and her Dermatology residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

Prior to moving to Houston in 2005, Dr. Parry spent 5 years on the teaching faculty of the Department of Dermatology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where she was promoted to the rank of Clinical Associate Professor.

Dr. Parry sees patients for a wide variety of skin concerns including mole evaluations, rashes, acne, rosacea, dry or itchy skin, and skin cancer prevention. She has a particular interest in evaluating and treating skin cancers and abnormal moles.

Dr. Parry is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Houston Dermatologic Society.

  • She appreciates the food, culture, and variety that Houston has to offer: whether it be admiring a mini mural on one of Houston’s traffic signal boxes, exploring the multitude of new restaurants available, going to a play, wandering through the shelves of a bookstore, or just taking in a good movie.
  • Dr. Parry also enjoys being a mom to her teenage daughter and visiting her son who is a student at The College of Music and Media at Loyola University New Orleans.
