Dr. Sonali Hanson

Dr. Sonali Hanson is Board Certified in Pediatric Dermatology and has been in private practice in the Houston area for over 25 years. She is a Houston native and completed her undergraduate degree at Rice University. She earned her medical degree in 1995 and completed her general dermatology training in 1999, both at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston as well.

After working for a year at a general dermatology practice in Houston, she completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis where she also served as Instructor in Dermatology. She returned to Houston in 2001 to build her pediatric dermatology practice, and in 2004 she was in the first group of 90 dermatologists nationwide with a special interest and training in pediatric dermatology to become Board Certified in the newly designated subspecialty certification of Pediatric Dermatology in addition to being Board Certified in Dermatology.

Dr. Hanson is a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Texas Dermatological Society, and the Harris County Medical Society/Texas Medical Association. She has been named a Houstonia Magazine Top Doctor for multiple years and voted one of the best dermatologists by TX Top Docs.

Dr. Hanson’s goal during each patient visit is to empower children and their parents with accurate information and safe and effective treatments so that her patients are able to have the healthiest skin possible.
